May 22
I loved how you labelled every part of my body with the black t-shirt marker.
May 5
I loved how you suddenly stood there and hugged me from behind.
May 3
I loved the look on your face when my fingers moved up and down your neck and ears and face.
April 8
I loved writing that email to you and then crying all night long.
+
I loved discovering that because of you, I had met the greatest people I know.
April 7
I loved discussing the work of my favourite artists with you and how we had the same ideas of what was good and interesting and what was not and what could be changed and how at one point we looked at each other and laughed because of that thing with the old red shirt.
April 6
I loved sitting on that pier with you, looking up to the pale moon and listening to the sounds coming from all those birds and other little animals from the nearby undergrowth, and talking about death and loss, and feeling that you trust me.
+
I loved that we had both planned to ask each other if we could go outside and take a walk.
April 5
I loved calling you to ask if you wanted to meet me and after you answered “yes” saying goodbye simultaneously and starting to laugh and then chat about my dishwasher.
April 4
I loved sitting in that little red car under the spring stars and listening to you singing along to Muse and feeling the vibration of your deep voice everywhere on your body.
